Checking NVRAM... Update Failed

So my desktop PC (luckily not my main PC anymore, basically became a local fileserver) has been really flaky lately.. randomly restarts, sometimes won't get past loading devices (harddrives), sometimes Windows says that there's a problem with hal.dll or some file like that, and the latest problem has been 'Checking NVRAM... Update Failed' and Windows doesn't seem to pick up my wireless card.

What's the best way to go about troubleshooting all of this? I suspected a harddrive error initially, but the new NVRAM/wireless error threw me in a loop.

Checking NVRAM... Update Failed

Most probably, your Systems RAM is dying. Get it replaced and be on track again.
