Steiner Binoculars
Anyone of you knows anything about Steiner binoculars?
I have the possibility of buying a used pair of Steiner 15x80 binocs, and to buy them directly from the owner (so I will check for collimation and damages), at a good price.
But any of you know if they are good for astronomy? _________________ "...e quindi uscimmo a riveder le Stelle"

Steiner Binoculars
Thank you!
The binocs are Steiner Military 15x80, I will check the condition.
The owner says there is a tripod adapter, and I have two tripods (a light one and a heavy duty one), so it shouldn't be a problem.
The price is MUCH less than that on the site (less than 300 Eu). _________________ "...e quindi uscimmo a riveder le Stelle" Ford Prefect

Steiner Binoculars
So long as they are in good condition, and not mis-collimated, 15x80 will be great for astronomy.
Expect them to be heavy though, and you'll need tripod to steady them - when you get above 10x, you see FAR more if the binocs are mounted
A quick 'Google' brought up this page...

If that's them, they look good - I don't see a tripod mount - but the blurb says they do include one. _________________ ED100 apo-refractor - 150mm newt - 90mm Maksutov (all SkyWatcher)
