M1730 Chipset
I did a quick search but did find what I was looking for.... It is my understanding that the GM965 chipset is based off the PM965 chipset but with integrated (onboard) graphics... This is where I am confused... I have dual 8700M's in SLI, but using Intels Chipset Identification Utility, it states I have the GM965 chipset... CPU-Z reports the same thing.. I do not see how this is possible.. is it an error in how the apps are reading the chipset information? here are 2 pics of Intel chipset identifcation utility and CPU-Z: Intel Chipset Identification Utility CPU-Z Can you guys post what chipset is being reported for your laptop? I do not think it is possible that I installed the wrong drivers... ( dont think the exe would let me install if there was no onboard graphics.. ) I just want to know if its a bug in reporting the chipset or not.. Thanks guys!
