One of the best series ever created in my opinion and will hopefully still stay that way. There has been lots of controversy on which Final Fantasy game is better though, many agree that it is VII and others say its VII or IX. I'm curious in what all you think about it and how you think the game plays compare. Me I love almost all of them except XII but thats my opinion.

Final Fantasy VII. It was the first one i ever played and the first one i ever beat, but the story was great, and the materia level up system was great. Better than anyone i've played...not by that much though.

Crisis Core...So my vote goes to FF VII

I voted for FF10. I fell in love with that game the first time i played it. Everything was just incredible. It also has my all-time Fav Character=Auron. I felt like i was playing playing a really good movie. Really good game. Why is this at the Sony section?

i agree, ffx is the best in my opinion. but im also glad to see some love given to ffx-2. lots of ppl didnt like it and i thought it was downright amazing (great battle system and great story)

I also like FFXII...not so much the gameplay, but I'm probably the only person who enjoyed the story (and the music). It was a nice change. The battle system however, was not lol

Nothing is better than Final Fantasy X. Nothing.

I'll definitely go with VII. Didn't even have to think about it. It was the first RPG I ever played (yes, not only my first Final Fantasy, but my first RPG) and it was enough to get me hooked to these kind of games up until today. It was everything I could ever hope for in a game.

I have yet to see a Final Fantasy that surpasses this one (in my opinion, of course).

I really like Final Fantasy 10 with the great graphics it provides.

I can't choose I have a few I like! FF VII of course for breaking the ground! And the lovable materia system.

I disliked FF VIII as much as I dislike boring math, I game to enjoy myself not to seek up in a matrix of possibilities what combo and hookup works best on what enemie! Oh and..drawing? You want me to stands there being an open target while I suck magic to me? ..well luckily they killed that joke off!

Final Fantasy IX, harking back to the past an enjoyable if not slightly simple FF. But through that keeping the heart of what matters! Very Fun!

Final Fantasy X, interresting system with upgrades and learning spells! Good battles, good graphics! What more do you desire?

Final Fantasy X-2, I haven't even started this rather erm..fan requested game.

Final Fantasy XII, a quite..basic but interresting story and interresting characters! A leveling up system that you fully controll and..oh yes so much goodies! It is like a muffing you keep eating from!

You really can't weigh all of the FFs all in one single vote. They all have their own unique aspects based on whether they shined more on story, level up system, battle system, or music.

If you like a compelling story:
FFIV
FFVI
FFVII
FFX

If you like a good leveling system:
FFIII
FFV
FFVI

and so on...

All of them tried to accomplish different things. I see that a lot of people just voted for the first FF they played since it brings up a lot of good memories; I started out playing FFIV, but I really do like them all.

...I just hope FFXIII carries on the tradition.

Yes VIII, cause of the story, even the junction system doesn't seem that bad as in the beginning. I figured out how to use it at the end of the 2nd disc.

Mine have to be ffvii cuz that was the first ff game for me and got me into the series but my second had to be ffx.

FFX!! That game had everything, emotions, beautiful story, voice acting, amazing character... It was the final fantasy that has marked the future of the series on next-generation console
