Much less noise and my 360 is extremely cool compared to before.It voids your warranty but it is worth it.The light is extremely subtle and nice.
Tbh..my warranty was nearly over anyway,but when you consider the fact that thiese fans will cool your system alot better,you realise that your warranty does not really matter as the chances of gettingt over heating problems are slim to none with these installed.
I have had 4 xbox360 consoles,this is my forth.First 3 all died due to overheated components.When i got my fourth console i decided to install these fans as i am sick of getting replacements.
Since then,i have had no problems.I very rarely get freezes(if i do its the game NOT the system ie: splinter cell:freeze agent) And i have noticed a general performance increase with framerates etc.
I tried an intercooler on my second 360 but the noise was INCREDIBLY LOUD and recent articles by microsoft themselves suggest the cooler actually uses too much power and can "scorch" components in the system after prolonged use.Some people say its rubbish but i would not risk it long term,the noise is the worst thing though.

Taking the case apart is easy if you take your time,there are numerous guides with step by step pics on the net that helped me alot.People think it is a stupid thing to do but i urge anyone with a 360 to do this.If you are not comfortable then wait until after the warranty (if your 360 lasts that long!)
I got mine from ebay as they are only available in the US at the moment.Exellent product.Simply unplug your old fans power connector,lift them out,install new ones.Roberts your fathers brother.
