That surely doesn't look better than Crysis ITS SO CLEAR THATS A GAME. The point is to blur the line and that clearly doesn't. Look your the only one here that thinks FarCry2 looks better maybe theres one more guy somewhere so your wasting time here.






It's all about LIGHTING and colors not the over saturated colors FarCry2 has going for it.

I was just pointing out that using one review score from one game review site is a weak basis for an argument.

According to the pictures you posted, Crysis looks amazing.

The fact that it's averaging 92.5 percent so far for reviews shows it's a great game.

anyways crysis looks better then farcry 2 in the images chosen....but this is a bad comparison since...the scene is too different from each other; the Crysis shot has motion blur applied to it for godsakes.

Have you seen all the FarCry2 gameplay videos? It looks very similar to Crysis in some areas, but more realistic. To me there was much more detail and much more physics.

I'm with you all the way on this one Vul. Hands down, I'm still on the side of Crysis.

Also, for future reference, lets get 2 screenshots that at least have a reasonable comparison rate. 50% of that FarCry pic is sky and the other half is shrubs with the biggest kicker of all, an orange tint. You dont have to agree, but IMO, things can look more or less realistic in a game sometimes depended on lighting. All I'm saying is its not fair to compare that to Crysis where the guy is emersed 100% in the green jungle in broad daylight.

If you've been to these forums long enough, you'll know im almost always right in my guesses and I predict come release date of FarCry, even though its going to be released a year later, Crysis fans will still rant that its better and in most cases, they'll be right. Just the way I see things boys.

That never happens to me so I don't know what the HELL that kid is talking about LOL. The A.I is a little brain dead on normal but I play on the difficulty before Delta so its a challenge. They are very VERY aggressive and pursuit and flank you whenever they can so I don't know what to tell this kid.

I'm not talking about those type of reviews, but reviews from users who are playing it. I had really high hopes for this game, and I didn't want to hate on this game, and I'm not.. I would still buy it honestly, but mainly for the MP experience as I found it entertaining in the beta (aside from the horrible optimization and random lag/bugs).

I didn't purchase the game yet its downloaded so throw that out the window. You've heard bad things about gameplay from where? The game has high rating reviews anyone with a rig that can handle it loves it from what I see so I don't know what the **** your talking about. You sound like another one of those kids hating on the game for some absurd reason or another. Also pre alpha last time I checked wasn't a real game stage term Killzone devs used it and everyone ran with it.

My spec makes the game look like that I loaded up that level in the editor to compare it to the pic and it was dead on. I'm telling you Crysis is the most photo realistic game to date. I wouldn't be surprised if FarCry2 came out looking better I mean it isn't out to mid-late 08. I don't know if I'd bet against Crytek's engine being as though it scales 1.5 years ahead and can be modified to modern tech through patch when Crytek wants to.

Look at the mud to the right of his gun in your 'photo realistic' screenshot... it looks crappy, and making backgrounds look PR in games isn't too bad. Gran Turismo 5 demo for PS3 has quite the nice looking mountain scene. Imo it sounds kind of like you're trying to justify your purchase of the game. It has nice graphics but nothing groundbreaking if you ask me, and you could have all the graphics in the world but I have heard nothing but bad things about the gameplay on this game.

You should post that one screen where you post in the other thread which impressed me the most. I still wonder though, what kind of setting to get Crysis to looking like that screen.

To be honest, I like how Far Cry 2 look better. It give the feeling that you're actually in Africa and the game play seem extremely impressive. Beside this is just a pre alpha screen of Far Cry 2, of course the game will look even better than this by the time it release next year.

Far Cry 2 is Ubisoft answer to Crytek Crysis and you're right about Crysis kind of flop with the graphics. I didn't buy the game yet, because I can't play it with only one GTX. Maybe If I has 2 GTX in SLI, the game might impressed me enough for me to enjoy it.

Why compare a game that released now with a game that will release later on? 9 times out of 10 the game released later usually has better graphics for obvious reasons. Crysis will not continue to be king, and to be honest Crysis is kind of a flop and the graphics are meh unless you have an expensive arse computer 6+ months from now to make it look similiar to their demonstration screenies.

Crysis looks more photorealistic you can easily tell Far Cry 2 is still a game Crysis your kind of like I don't know whether it is or not. Thats not even the best shot of Crysis

ehh, is Far Cry 2 the bottom image there? Because the bottom image looks more realistic than the top image IMO. The top image looks like it was painted using a brush.

Farcry 2 is technically much more impressive than Crysis, and it looks better - it uses a modified CryEngine2 and comes out half a year later so I'm not surprised that it looks that better.

Far Cry 2 is not develop by Crytek and it's not using the a modified CryEngine2. Far Cry 2 is being developed by Ubisoft and it's using the Dunia Engine.

I agree with Stew 100% that Crysis looks better but SJ, we can take this arguement beyond subjective. First, we began with two pics totally unrelated, now, let me ask you this, do you know what resolutions your looking at FarCry with? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm????????? No you dont, you and your goonies just flare the phrase "pre-alpha". You know how we make a real arguement, we wait until the games out and then we benchmark and compare. I'm not a complete egotist, for all I know, FarCry is running 20 times hotter than Crysis, but I'm not gonna flare picture after picture acting like its proof of superiority.
