I remember seeing somewhere that you can download USA demo's on 360 by creating a new silver gametag. Can someone advise how you go about doing this?

Yes this can be done, just setup a new hotmail account select usa for your country, you will also need a American post code, and some address details like state, your new silver account must be created with the same details when you log in you will notice that the prices are in $

its all fairly easy

You don't need a hotmail account - any email will do.

Perhaps I just found it easer, with hotmail and the passport thing

What I mean is that you can put an exisitng email address in - so you don't need to sign up to a hotmail one. Even easier

What demos are available on the US Marketplace that aren't available in the UK? I set up a Silver account to access the US version but can't see anything obviously different (except that all prices are in $$).

Main reason for me was the Mission impossible 3 trailer which was not on the uk site

you have to register as a american so try names like kurt and chad...also you need a ZIP code and telephone number and address i went for a coffe shop in beverley hills (90210).. gl

I've managed to set up an account that logs into the US xbox live & was wondering is it possible to do the same for Japan live as well? I'd be curious to play any japanese only downloads if it's possible.

The only downside to a Japan Live acount is its not in english.

Ive got something like 100 gmail invites if somone wants one to try this. PM me if you need/want 1, all I need is a current email address to send the invite to.

Set myself up a US account to dl their stuff,pretty straight forward, think I used a pharmacy address or something. Will look to try a Jap one later for a laugh.

I ended up using the the telephone number for the locksmith of the University of Alabama for my US account, lol.

cheers for that but i'd already found an address (Suzuka race track ) but unfortunatly as you go through the registration process it all changes to Japanese , I was hoping it would give me a choice of language but it didnt (ie euro man living in japan wanting to go on live) and as my japanese is a bit well non exisistant really I'm kind of stuck.
But I'm not beat yet I'm going to register an Australian account and note down what all the pages are for registration and try again
obviously the dash is all going to be foreign but I sort of know my way around it now

Talking about the USA 360 Live account, did anyone else download the Pulse trailer.

I did, looks like a very creepy film, I'm gonna keep my eye out for it.

I hope Pulse is not as rubbish as the new The Ring and The Ring 2 were like. Since Pulse is a bit like the original The Ring & The Ring 2 by the looks of it mate.

Hmmm.. glad to see people are using this method, note that I started using it 18 months ago, so it was my idea in the first place, only way to get the Xbox Live US Arcade disc to work in the UK, with a Uk account i would not show any of the games, hence the reason for creating a US account..and I knew it would allow me to get all the latest 360 downloads...

Hi Chaps I take it your setting this up on the 360 itself or are you creating the profile online first then loggin in with it? can this be done with a profile already setup and switching?

It was done setting up the profile online.

I could not find a way to switch the profile when I looked, either on the Xbox Live site or in the Passport site. You might be able to get it done by phoning MS but sure it would be easier just to set up another profile for downloads.

This would indicate to me that MS allow you to access live from any IP address and this would be good news for Tetlee down in Argentena!

if setting up a jap account you don't need an address just a jap post code( i googled for one ) in the address bar just enter any old jap symbols you like. Oh it wants a jap phone number too , again just google one.

Just tried this again...setup a new account on XBox.com using an address in the US and all looks ok. After setting it all up, says United States as the country. Go onto 360, 'recover' gamertag and it changes the country to the UK again

What am I doing wrong??????

I've heard that a demo of The Outfit is due any day now and as it's bound to be US only, I'd love to get this sorted!

ive got a jap and usa account. imo there wasnt anything worth having on the jap site. (after you work out what each thing is as its in jap) you can work out what most demos are by clicking the name and looking at the picture in the top right of the screen, before you confirm the download.
