I am finally going to buy the PS3 very soon, and want to "have it all after waiting soooo long." Could you please recommend a seat plus all the bits, that i could go to a shop and buy over the counter. Im planning to get the PS3 in Woolworths on the latest bundle offer. I have looked in a lot of threads but have not been able to find any info, so any links would be great. Many Thanks

I don't think there are any available for the PS3 yet, or any game that supports them.
Well you won't be able to find one in a high street store anyway, maybe online [if available at all] and definately not bluetooth connectivity.

Thanks for all your replys. So, as im a complete idiot, i ask the question, "Is it possible to have a ARCADE experience, whatever that is?" I must admit, i have NEVER EVER played a Playstation or ANY games and just wantedto get the best thrill posible. I thought maybe having a steering wheel etc etc, would give me that. Yes it is possible, but it wont have a PS button so you'll need to use a controller for that, GT-HD uses a steering wheel ok and so will GT5, I think Colin McCrae Dirt does too, maybe wait for the new Sega Rally game

You can use a wheel for need for speed carbon,gthd with full force feedback,you will also be able to use them on colin mccrae dirt,sega rally,nfs pro street,GTA IV

cant help thinking that sony is missing a trick here a state of the art high end wheel frame and pedal set would really finish the PS3 hardware off nicely i think a lot of us PS3 customers are racing games enthusiasts

I must also admit that i am really surprised that sony dont have this available. Are the racing games so good through the controller, that sony feel a steering wheel etc is not needed? (again, i have never even played a game.)

Steering wheels are available that work with the PS3. I'm sure Sony will in partnership with Logitech release a special wheel for GT5. Full setups including the seat are another thing entirely. It's a very small market as not many people can afford the expense or want to spend that kind of money especially on a peripheral that only works with one genre of game. Also not everyone has the room for such a device. It's more of a specialty and niche product and therefore only found from small companies and sold online.

Steering wheel looks like it could be a bit high though?

Want something that folds up and can attach a logi pro force wheel to as i play in the living room on the sofa at the mo [nowhere to attach a steering wheel].

The Logitech G25 is the only wheel you should ever need. Fully supported in GT5 and Colin McRae DIRT on the PS3.

Playseats make excellent seats. As do GameRacer. Not cheap, but fully support the G25 and are well worth it.

How do you know the PS3 will FULLY support this wheel in these two games ? Is there a link perhaps to where you got this info from ?

What about future racing games that may come out on the PS3 ? You think there may be an "updated" G25 wheel designed for the PS3 ?
