I love RPG's and final fantasy, but I hate anything that's disney or has to do with disney. I'm thinking about getting Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 because I hear so many good things about the game, but the fact that disney has a part in the game makes me hesitate. Is the game really worth picking up? I know it has good gameplay but is the story any good? I'm mostly interested in the story.

the stroy is something i didnt expect its not a cartoony gme with all out humor its got some sad moments and angry moments and moments u go, "didnt see that coming" one has a good story i loved it. kh2 continues it but goes a bit farther into character relations, the first part whn u play as roxas is a frickn drag until stuff starts up.

ya, i have both but only palyed 50 percent of the first one. Its really fun and its a great game but sometimes i look at it and im like fuck this. They easily could have madeit its own original thing and wouldve been way better. It also creates these annie may faggots who name each other stupid names to love it which is gay. Its fun though, check it out. at least rent it to see if you like it.

The story is WONDERFUL, and the gameplay is very fun, but Disney doesn't just have "a part" in it. It's 50% Square(Enix), 50% Disney. The story is great, but you'll interact with many Disney characters. All of the areas are Disney themed.

I felt the same way at first but then as I started playing them I was amazed at how much fun it was. I ended up playing II first then playing I. I didn't enjoy I as much as I loved II.

I'm actually replaying it right now (for the gazillionth time) and I still love it. You will definitely LOVE the story, but you'll most likely dislike some small parts of the storytelling. Outside the big storyline there are a bunch of those typical Disney scenes, but those are mostly in the beginning of the game. And if you can see past them you'll get an amazingly well thought out story and amazing gameplay. I really recommend it!
