i beat raven with 2 rail gun hits. i went to the top floor, went to one of the broken walls and charged the rail gun. she just circles around the building. after each hit, she tries to look for you, but you can hide from her inside the room. then she goes back circling the building.

Act 3 tailing? It's very easy actually. Just keep your costume on and change your facecamo to anyone but Snake's. PMCs will ignore you as long as you're not holding a gun.

Just tranq the PMCs from a far, if they're in the way of the resistance guy. If not, just walk by them, even patroling cars will ignore you.

Crying Wolf gave me some trouble on TBE, but wasn't too bad on Big Boss. It's just the bastard Haven Troopers EVERYWHERE on Extreme that makes it annoying. If you wanna take her out quickly, you'll probably be using guns that aren't silenced. A lot of risk there.

I got 4:30, but I was taking my time, so I don't really care! I got FOXHOUND before BB, and throughout my BB run, I knew when I was giving myself enough time. Speedruns aren't really fun to me, so I'm totally content with my 4:30.

I mean how is that even possible?? I just did for fun like ran through the game.. But I did end up spending a lot of time in shadow moses because I just ran around messing with robots.. But still I got 2 hours 50 mins.. How can you get that good time and have the hardest difficulty and get no alerts, kills, continues, recovery items?

1. During boss fights, killing the Beast mode with lethal means doesn't count as a kill.

2. Well not really, that's why its always advisable to save often. When you get an alert, or you die, you can always load up from your previous save.

3. When you are using Rex killing the suicide Gekkos won't count as kills. All unmanned machines doesn't count as kills. Scarabs and Gekkos.

During the Big Mama chase, you need to use non lethal means to neutralize the enemy. Mk22 pistol, the shotty using V.Ring Ammo, or the Solar Gun.

i like how although big boss emblem is a really hard emblem and needs a lot of skill, people who only get it in 4:40 or so will be subconsciously seen as a lesser big boss because others can do it faster.

Quick questions from a MGS4 nooblet : I tough dispatching any boss or units with a <red> weapon would count has a kill. You guys talking about the rail gun to beat raven? Wont that give me a kill?

2) If you die once, thats it? You blew it?

3) Does killing gekos while Raiden fights and escaping with Rex count has kills? (same thing with big mama's mike?)

It is indeed possible to finish TBE in less than 2hours. Act 1 can be finished in less than 20minutes now.

Have you seen photographic evidence?He could have made the whole run with stealth and then post a screen only from the The Boss Extreme in the upper corner of the TV.

I've seen some runs on youtube around 2hrs 30 minutes, so shaving off around 6 minutes an act isn't entirely impossible. Also depends on how fast you kill the bosses. I think just under 2 hrs is possible, not easy but not impossible either.

It takes luck though, throw a smoke grenade in front of CW, make sure you are in range and she won't see you. When she gets distracted by the smoke, equip the Grenade launcher you acquired from Raging raven and spam the stun grenades at her. She'll go down in less than 10 seconds.
