I am currently setting up a free image storage website and was wondering if anyone has the experience to include a script whereby photos can be sent direct from a mobile phone to the free image storage website.

I would expect that an account has to be opened at the free image storage website prior to photos being uploaded.

Any helpers out there.

mms phones send photos as emails. You could write a script in PHP, C#, ruby, ..., [insert language of your choice] to get the email from a POP3 server --- or pipe it directly to a processor of your choice; see http://www.evolt.org/article/Incomin..._PHP/18/27914/ then save attached images. Hook this up to an existing gallery like coppermine or code something yourself and you're in business.

I investigated doing this during christmas but couldn't think of a unique selling point for it.. there are lots around already. I'd be looking for around ?80 (~$150 I think) for integrating something like the above into an existing gallery script but I have no time to do it. If you have time, why don't you give it a bash? There is no 'advanced' code involved and you'll save money

I agree with you that you need an unique approach...or in the marketing game...'a beneficial difference' to stand out from the crowd.

My concept is different, but can't divulge it right now as there are a lot of followers out there in the wild.
