Ok cant get it to work on f1 ??

Did you connect to your PS3 via USB? You have to press the "PS" button on the front after doing this (the first time).

yes did that.. but still cant get it to work.. i have the 2nd controler charging at mo on my pc as my son is playing f1.. will try it in a min.

If you are refering to the sixaxis control in the game itself then there should be an option in the game menus somewhere. Sisaxis control is not usually on by default.
