I used to play MGO because it was the only online shooting game I had at the time but it was very good (like the voice chat , maps, and etc). However, I have Warhawk no so I don't play MGO at all. But, anyways I hear there is a new patch or expansion that adds some new things to the game, so I ask is it worth playing again??

I don't like the fact it keeps heading more and more towards just a bog standard shooter, rather than as it's name suggest METAL GEAR Online.

The metal gear elements are really lacking, and the nerfs to knife/pistol/e-locator with Gene expansion didn't help, assault rifles were given a boost also, the opposite of what's needed.

The SOP system, the hacking it especially, it's even worth it most of the time, players die often and break links, hack lasts seconds at best. Easier just killing people.

They need find a way to make stealth more useful in games other than sneaking/team sneaking, and boost the stealth based weapons to compete with the automatics.

the only real problem with MGO is the ranking system is so fucked off.

I don't know where everybody keeps getting lag from. My games are almost always lag free. Plus, I didn't start playing the original MGO until only the hardcore people were stil around. Now that's a learning curve! I probably got killed from headshots 50 times in my first round.

the stun range of the knife made it a noob weapon, now it requires actual skill. You can no longer stun somebody that is laying down from a standing position. In order to stun somebody laying down you have to be kneeling and be locked on using auto-aim. You also cant lock on to unconscious enemies which means taking the time to enter FPV or laying down to stab them.

im sorry but the only way i can play a legit game is if i host it if i didnt have to pay so much for a T1 plus the knife was never a noob weapon it worked when u threw people on the ground and stuned them now my knife passes right threw every one so i just stoped use my knife its kinda sad compared to the old mgo and for those guys who say theres a learning curve HA! thats funny

Lag is only a big problem in player hosted game, the auto-matching reduces it as much as possible. The knife has been nerfed just fine, its no longer a noob weapon. Don't know what to say about your Visa though.

The learning curve is the killer. People are wussies.

I hated the Beta but am loving it right now. I was in the same boat as you TC but once I learned to stick with your teammates and use tactics it gets soo much better. Team Sneak FTW!

Warhawk is a good game though.

Play Warhawk. The learning curve is MUCH worse, trust me.

No, it`s still unbalanced people use all kinds of exploits like the box swap, pay n`spray, boosting ect and lag is still an issue.

im sorry but if you look at the MGO1 witch i played alot of and look at the new one it went to shit!!! im sorry but the lag on MGO is bad plus the fact that the took away how the stun knife works plus there damn online website is shit!!! it wont take my visa and ever time i try talking to them they wont listen so i have to say its much much worse than i ever thought possible

Sadly no, there is a learning curve in MGO which turns off most players.

There is still a decent amount of players though, you'll still suffer from occasional lag shots.

It's been worth playing from the start. If you can put up with the glitches and bugs it's easily the best online shooter out there.

survival mode randomly chooses maps and gametypes for your team,then drops you into these matches against other teams.
the winner goes on,and the loser has to restart from 0 again.
you can win a maximum of 5 times and each win you gain points to use in the reward shop.(buy new gear)

only problems i have with with MGO is SPAWN campers, its bad when you die before you have the change to defend your self and the slight lag when someone does a roll over an object, and they seem to disappear for a second
