Basically, I can get a 360 VGA cable off ebay (person has great feedback etc) for around about ?6 while the official one retails for around ?20. Is there anyone one here with an unofficial VGA cable? Is the official one so much better than its worth the extra ?14?

I have a 15' vga cable...it's not official because MS doesn't have em that long. It was about $25 CAN(probably 12 E) from walmart. I'm not dissapointed with it, however length and quality of cable do make a difference with VGA, unlike hdmi/dvi.

YES for gods sake buy the official microsoft vga!! if you dont some games will flicker. good luck.

Ok. But why ?20 ? I need to buy a quick charge kit as well (or is there a better and cheaper solution?).

I have the official MS VGA cable. I read about various problems with unofficial cables on AVS Forum but there have also been a lot of people saying they work just fine. I didn't want to take the risk.

About the quick charge kit... I went with rechargeable AA batteries instead. They were cheaper and last just as long. I got Sony brand 2500 mAh NiMh AA's that came with a Sony charger that recharges them in two hours. And I can use the AA's with other things besides the 360 so they're more useful.

Ah cool. When I'm out getting the 360 tomorrow (or Tuesday) I'll look for batteries and a charger.

BTW, Aleman, how much play time do you get out of each charge?

I haven't counted but it seems like forever

I have to change them like once every two weeks or so. But I don't play very consistently.
