Driving a Mitsubishi Gallant 2000 ES with a V6 doing about 30mpg, a secondary vehicle by nature of a scooter for shorter distance commutes which I commonly do anyway, doesn't seem half bad.

chavs often ride mopeds, but also drive citroen saxos and vauxhall corsas, but get a motorbike rather than scooter.

I'd love to have a moped. Vespas get something like 80 miles per gallon.
