Sirius radio are liars

I had gotten a sirius radio set up and of course you arn't told about having to buy a plan to use it until you do sign up. Well I called in to get it set up, the automatic service kept failing so i finally got to an operator and got it set up, but she was speaking to fast and sometimes even started speaking spanish. Had to have her go over a few things a couple times. Anyways I asked her if I could pay my monthly bill using the gift cards and she said yes. ok so I give them the gift card number to put in for the first few months.

I check my account online, theres the $50 i had put end from the start and it says renewal date is set 2 months (there is no 3 months as they claim) after my start date. So I put in another $50 gift card to pay it off for another 3 to 4 months so paid off up till end of july. Well It did not accept the second gift card. $50 is still there and the renewal date is the same.

If I were to pick an extended plan, it asks for my credit card info to pay for it AGAIN. So I didn't do that and have e-mailed them about it and what they will do about the money I had put in that they are not counting. Or if it will automaticlly roll over the renewal date and count the money I had put in with gift cards. I have yet to hear from them. Which by the way, their web service sucks. It wouldn't accept my ESN number as a subscriber when I e-mailed them so I had to choose a non-subscriber and give them all my info in the complaint.

So if they expect me to pay up the next few months straight up with my credit card, then they are **** liars since I was told I would only need my credit card to activate it and that I could use gift cards to pay the monthly service bill.

Well I can vouch for the in this case. You do only need a credit card to sign up. You can pay with gift cards from there on out. If you are having issues I would recommend doing something more than sending an email and waiting for a reply. If you email them and they don't reply you need to be proactive, call them, email them again, bother them until you get the answer you need.

That's kind of a pain ...i would look into different services and see what they have to offer. you would be jumping through hoops to pay with gift cards every month

I am with Faceless. It has been nothing but easy for me. I have been signed up since '05 on the 3month plan. I paid for my first 6 months with gift cards and had no issues.

You should call customer service and talk this through with them. I am sure they will take care of you.

I've found that the easiest thing to do is pay year-by-year. I've been a member since May of 2006, and it's been amazingly easy.

And to the guy that said check into other services: HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I bought one for my wife this past Xmas and got the $50 credit for service. I signed up on the website with no problems at all. I picked the year plan or two year plan, don't remember but I had no problems at all. Sorry it's screwed for you though.
