if you are running pppoe you might want to get RASPPOE its a program that works around pppoe and it works pretty good, it took my download speed from 339ms up to 459 and knocked 40ms off my ping in online games, ill post the link for you and all the documentation when i figure out where i put it.

Hey I was wandering, I read you post about RASPPPOE, and if I'm usin a Lynksys router to handle my pppoe for my DSL connection, is this proggie still good for me, or is it used to replace software pppoe? My OS is W2K bye the way.

ya you still have pppoe the raspppoe is just a better pppoe software, i was wrong by saying it replaces it as it does not but yes its still good, linksys suports pppoe

You will not be able to use PPPoE software if you have a router in the middle. You'd have to disable everything and make it a hub not a router.

If it does not work uninstall it and get newest Linksys firmware 1.40.1 at bottom of page here

Hey I tried it and it wouldnt work at all, so I just unistalled it and set everything back to tjhe way it was. All good now! and thnx Lobo for the Firmware advise, I did that last week.
