I posted this a while back, please search before you post a topic otherwise it clutters the forums.
However, since the last topic seemed to bite the dust resonably quickly ill run with this one and add some new info:
Quote:
Konami threw its Gamers Day bash in San Francisco yesterday where, amidst detailing its line-up for the coming year, served up a few ***-bits on the Metal Gear franchise.
Unfortunately, PS3's Metal Gear Solid 4 received zero coverage (shame, shame) but Konami did take the opportunity to reveal pre-order bonus plans for Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. Customers who pre-order Subsistence will receive a limited edition DVD called Metal Gear Saga 1, which traces the Metal Gear series' fictional timeline.
Konami's pre-order news was accompanied by a splash on Metal Gear Solid Digital Comic (working title), a specially created interactive comic that's to be released on PSP. It's been devised and created by Kojima Productions and, based on the existing Metal Gear Solid comic book, is a 3D medium that features sound effects, animations and music. MGS Digital Comic tells the full story of the first Metal Gear Solid adventure.
A release date for Metal Gear Solid Digital Comic is to be confirmed. We've uploaded a few images to give you an idea of what to expect.
And finally, new images of PSP title Metal Gear Ac!d 2 have been squirted out, with Konami excitedly describing the game as a "hugely expanded sequel boasting more cards, massively enhanced visuals, more intuitive control over Snake, and a unique 3D viewing system." Ac!d 2's storyline, in a nutshell, finds Snake attempting to halt the creation of a third generation Metal Gear mechanoid system. Good luck on that one, mate.
