Overlord will last you much longer, I've had a lot of fun with it, if you purchase it, you won't regret it.

Overlord got 7.8 from IGN, Overlord got 6.6. Maybe that will help you make your decision? But don't let it influence it to much.

Which have you played? The Darkness is short and has a tacked on MP... Overlord lasts 20 + hours and has decent MP. Don't read into the reviews for the Over-lord, if you don't have gripes with the demo, you will love the game.

the darkness has a great storyline and keeps you pumped for what is going to happen next but online isn't something to be proud of

I was playing overlord earlier today on the PC. Its quite a nice game, and using the sixaxis works like a charm. I am not sure how long it lasts, but its refreshing gameplay.

SixAxiS with Overlord? Am i missing something?

Its a PC game, and the Sixaxis works very well as a PC controller. So I was using the Sixaxis as a controller for the PC version of Overlord, which is a straight port from the console (only uses a few buttons like console games, rather than a ton like PC games).
I do this quite a bit with PC console ports. The Sixaxis works well and is more "authentic" than slapped on keyboard controls.

overrlord got 8.1 from ign....i think overlord is the more original game...im getting it.

ya i like the overlord demo so i think i will go with that

Oh my god, buy Overlord... I havent had this much fun playing a game since GTA III.

The Darkness seems like a better game then overlord

I just beat the Darkness, now I'm playing Overlord. So far, I'm more impressed with Overlord, plus it's not "yet another shooter."

It still doesn't change the fact that the 360 has way too many shooters compared to other genres. Why can't people admit this? I'm not saying that the games are bad but it's still imbalanced, genre-wise.

And you've played The Darkness? Yes, Overlord has a longer single-player, but I can't see it lasting much longer. Kinda like Oblivion.

Well, if we're going by IGN UK reviews, The Darkness got an 8.5.

Definelty Overlord, mine arrived yesterday after a 5 day delay. But i didn't put it down all day yesterday. The humour and gameplay are truly great. THeres some strategy involved but most of the time you'll just send all of your minions at a target then button bash him, or at least thats all i can be bothered to do

Something i wasn't expecting was Tower customisations. When you attain a mistress (which is a quest you have) she opens up a few rooms upstairs for you, won't spoil the rest but theres a room purely for customisations from changing flags to adding spikes to the outside, a new throne, stone statues etc...

If you played Fable you can see a LOT of similaritys in voice acting, humour and gameplay. Its a nice change from the usual slew of games we get and i definetly recommend it.

Neither of the aforementioned games have serious bugs.
