hi
I have an upcoming site, which dare I say it is similar to the MDHP (but definitely not a copy-cat).
Now an extra little thing I was thinking of doing is allowing anyone to log into my Google Analytics account and view the traffic reports.
This would allow potential advertisers and visitors to see how well the site is going.
Obviously there would be a down side to this as early on the site is likely to have very little traffic, but when/if it does pickup I think offering access to the traffic reports would be great for potential buyers as they can see for themselves whether they should advertise on the site and this also builds a level of trust with the site as well.
I sent a quick question to Google basically asking if it's possible to allow access to the public etc etc, here's the reply:
Quote:
Thank you for your email. Currently it is not possible to grant access to
the general public. Anyone who wants to see the reports would have to have
a Google account and access to your account to be able to login into
Google Analytics. Any users added to your account will have access to all
the reports, since the access restrictions are profile specific and not
report specific. Let me know if you have more questions.

... though all I would do is setup permissions for another user to access the reports and simply supply login details to the public for that access
So let me know what you think? Good idea/bad idea?
cheers
