Weird URL Deformations

http://commerce.http://www.ibm.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce...840&lang=en_US

Notice how that URL was deformed by vBulletin? (hover your mouse of the entire URL, notice that it's actaully turned into two URLs!)I think it gets confused with the www part that is not immediately after the http:// part.

Even if I integrate it into a link like so: IBM 32MB USB Memory Key, it still deforms the URL.

I'm not sure if it has to do with the www part since it doesn't affect these two URLs:
http://hello.www.somesite.com
http://a.www.anothersite.com
But it will if you run the preview on them twice:
http://hello.<a href="http://www.som...mesite.com</a>
http://a.<a href="http://www.another...ersite.com</a>

try unchecking the "automatically parse links" at the bottom of your post and then use the method. That should cure what ails ya!

Yeah, that's what I ended up doing in the thread where I posted that. But it kind of defeats the purpose of hyperlinks, does it not?

And it's annoying when you have other links in the same post that do work, which of course just had to be my case!
