Need ur Help

Hi,
I want to move a huge amount of data (i.e in gigs) from one remote server to another remote server. And i don't have telnet access.
Moreover i don't want to stay connected to internet all the time while the transfer is takin place.
Does anybody know a tool that can be useful to me ??
Any help in this regard would be sincerly appreciated..
Eagerly awaiting u r response

Thanks/Regards

You could ask the hosting company to burn it to CD's for you, then mail them to the new server location.

Hmm, with FlashFXP you can do server to server transfers, though I have never tried it, and I'm guessing you need to stay connected to the 'net.

i think the best way is telling the company to BURN all the file in CDS! and email them to the other provider with DHL, FedEX or UPS!

Hey weirdbeardmt,

I happened to come across a site
http://www.ftpy-ah.com
this site may not be perfect but it does serve the purpose of transfer of data from one remote server to another. And it is unbelieveably fast.
Morover one does not have to be connected to internet all the time while transferring data.
Just fire commands & go away.
Yet in the background all ur commands will be processed.
The main problem with the site is that it does not allow you to access your local Hard Disk.
Do give me ya feedback on it.....
Regards,
Merryfi

Thanks for the suggestion... it was techie though who needs to do the transfer, so I'm sure they will give you their feedback...

I would suggest getting CD's burned. Easiest way to get the data moved then you are not jamming up networks with large data transfers.
