Bodykit website. quoting.

Ok. I'm doing a site for a guy who is opening up a 6,000 square foot warehouse in northern california in one week. He is going to be selling body kits for cars. 300+ products. He wants a site similiar to http://extremedimensions.com/ but with a better design.

My question is this: What is the market rate range for this type of job. No custom databasing yet. Just using a shopping cart setup. I will be doing the design and adding all the products and updating their availability once the site is live, until we get it linked to the warehouse's inventory system. I am thinking a range of $3500-6000 would be about right.

Also I want an all-in-one service that will process orders, authorize the CC's in realtime, and deposit the money into an account when the money is sent through. For over 300 products to start, what are some good services that do this for a good price?

Please help. This is my biggest client so far, and I don't want to over or under-bid. And I also want a good all-in-one shopping service.

Also how much to charge for monthly maintenance? This would include adding new products, modifying availability, and doing other product adjustments.

Also. I would like the solution to allow me to upload pictures to use and have it's own product database using an MySQL database. This way pages can be generated on the fly. Stuff like that. But i also want to minimize the amount of services i go through for everything (buying, authorizing, paying, etc.) So if there is a solution that allows me to do that, that is an all-in-one service or close to it, that would be great. I have never done a shopping cart before for this large of a site, so easier is better.

We charge between $65 and $85 an hour... so we're very careful in estimating and quoting and break down the development process into sections and hours. I'd reccommend charging hourly, even if you offer a proposal with a final price. After you have some experience estimating (and get better at it) you'll find that by charging hourly you'll be more accurate.
