Hi Rick,
I was interested in seeing how you accomplished that with pro bids. Pro bids limits you to only "items" for sale (products like ebay). I clicked your hire a geek category and it seems as the auction is asking me (the provider) to buy it now? The situation/feel just doesn't feel right.
Maybe I don't know your full operation, but I think to accomplish what you want you may need to look at "reverse auctions" where "buyers" post their services and "providers" bid with their best proposal for the job.
In the end, the buyer *guy who posts* awards a provider (or more than 1 provider to do the job).
Just a thought none the less. I think you might be able to do something like have your main site run the product auctions, and a subdomain using something like ILance to handle your procurement side of house
