Hi, I'm a relatively new user to Ubuntu.

I just bought a Canon Pixma 530 multifunction printer. I connected it to my WinXP SP2 machine through USB and would like to be able to print to it from my laptop that is running Ubuntu 7.04. I have tried to install it through System>>Administration>>Printers but there are no drivers listed for my particular model.

Can anyone give me a heads up on any option to try?

pixus and pixma are the same printer under a different name. your model isn't listed, but if you try something close you'll probably be successful. i believe i've read reports of people getting the 530 to work with one of those drivers.
