Activision Expects PS3 Growth to Outpace Xbox 360 This Year

Im hoping more developer sees PS3 hardware. I would love to see more RPG from japanese developer year end of 2009

In other news: PS2 is expected to sell less this xmas than last year.

For sure not before Sony's 'flagship game' Killzone 2 comes out (End of Feb). I see in my crystall ball, April/May.

Do ya think there will a price drop? I'm sceptical but still hopeful. Spring can a dry time for gamers so I thnik Sony drain the sponge a little more before the Summer.

As long as games are released for any platform and are enjoyed this credit crunch or recession won't even touch the gaming industry. Well, that's what I think anyways.

The gaming industry is still growing strong which is encouraging to hear regardless of what platform we support.

PS3 sales will obviously increase over the Christmas period and spike again in the spiring when, dare I say it, we will see a PS3 price drop?

PS3 is definitley selling good and once Sony can do some price cuts PS3 sales will take off like a rocket.

Heres a tip from a guy that bought one at launch.

Buy 2 so when your finished playing with them you can still use the machines as book ends.

I still don't know this is still stated, yeah it may be not graphics and whatnot but its interactivity is next-gen. I guess that what's counts...in a way.

Anyhoo, more backing means more quality games.

If the PS3 was at $299. It would sell like hot cakes. Everyone wants a PS3 but they say it is to expensive. That's the only reason a lot of people give. I bet in about 4 years, the PS3 will be selling a lot of consoles. It will go to the more casual players when the price is down. It will go to people just trying to enjoy HD movies on their HDTV's. It will sell a lot more in the years to come.

When I saw this post, I was like $320 for a Wii and you were considering buying one, you are crazy. Then I saw you were from Australia and was like oh, thats why. Here in America they are only $250.

yeah exactly and its driven by the price, I seen a special here for $320, I considered buying one just for the price lol

wii should not even be counted as a next gen system, because of it's capabilities it's basically competing with ps2 in terms of market share, the wii is not a next gen console.

Nice to see another developer talking in the positive for our beloved PS3.

Hopefully their expectations are correct.

That dose sound nice but sad. 360 dose help developer build there game easy an with so much labal under-rated games that didnt sells........ It hurts hugely.

Having one strong console is good enought, 2 strong console just gonna hurt one another. We have seen that with massive fanboys battle.

Im more of a PS person due to alot of JRPG.
