Rhythmbox extremely slow

Hello everyone. I decided to open up Rhythmbox for the first time on this computer today (finished copying all of my music files to this computer). When I do, it's EXTREMELY slow. I have no idea why, because Rhythmbox works just fine on my Dapper laptop. Can anyone help me out? I've tried rebooting, and un-and-reinstalling it. (I'm trying to grab the output of rhythmbox -d, but it's giving me a hard time. rhythmbox -d > debug.txt doesn't work because the process never finishes, and just trying to copy from the terminal doesn't work because it overflows).

[EDIT]

I don't have my speakers plugged in right now. Would that be the problem? Is Rhythmbox freaking out because it can't find an output device?

Rhythmbox extremely slow

Maybe it's because Rhythmbox is making database of all your music files. Wait some time. If you have large amount of music, it'll last longer.

It have to be done for all files only one time...

I don't think that's it. It starts bogging down before I even tell it which directory to index.

Rhythmbox extremely slow

*BUMPED*

I let it sit open over night, and it indexed all of my files. However, it still goes slow even after the actual music player window opens. The UI is super sluggish, and screws up whenever another window is moved over it or the window is rolled up. I can select and play songs (which takes forever), and the audio plays fine, without skipping, but the rest of GNOME freezes up. The only way to then exit Rhythmbox and restore GNOME functionality is to drop into console mode and kill it from there. Anyone have any idea what's causing this? I really need to get this fixed.
