VNC display problem

Hi,

I recently installed the ati driver for my Radeon Saphhire 9600XT on Ubuntu Edgy 6.10 (x86). Since doing so, some minor display problems on the actual machine have been resolved (e.g transparency).

However, I now get screen corruption (e.g. screen not drawing correctly when moving a window) when connecting via VNC Viewe 1f40 r on WIndows XP. This was fine before I installed the driver. Forcing a screen refresh in VNC viewer doesnt help and this isnt a connection speed issue as it was working fine before.

Can anyone suggest anything to resolve this problem? I'm connecting using the 'full' colour level and the problem occurs on all of the different colour settings.

thanks,

lukemack.
