I'm having problems with the screen saver when i run full screen games. When I'm in a full screen game, the mouse/keyboard don't seem to stop the screen saver from activating. Thanks for any help.

well I guess the only way to fix it at the moment is to disable the screen saver.

sort of off topic, but i have another problem with some games. when I was trying to run defcon, the touchscreen i set up wasn't calibr 1f40 ated right in game. I checked to make sure the game was running at my native resolution, and the touchscreen was still not working right. Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

Ya i did. The computer i'm using isn't that powerful (800mhz processor), so i didn't think it was a good idea to use desktop effects.

Try first with disabling compiz and see if it fix it.

Now run the game and see if you have the problem.

to enable compiz again:

So you had disabled compiz first? (Note, that Ubuntu uses Compiz as default).
