Casual Games

I'm looking for some good casual games. Minesweeper and Solitaire only last so long. Recommendations?

Nibbles, that's my favorite at least.

Basically look through most of the Gnome and KDE games. The ones that installed with the Gnome or KDE systems. Packages are called kdegames and if you have Ubuntu installed then you already have all the gnome ones

I find that Mahjongg has a lot of replay value for me. But as for games that go beyond "card/puzzle/board" there aren't a whole lot.

Pingus - It's like Lemmings, not a 1f40 lot of thought or twitch reflex needed, but it does require your undivided attention.
Ri-li - It's honestly an incredibly easy game. Just use the arrow keys and steer the train on its path. Answer questions about the Human Bill of Rights (I think, or maybe it's something kind of like that) and get extra points.
Which Way is Up - Saves your progress even after you quit. Fairly simple control scheme. Believe it was originally made in PyGame.

That's about all I can suggest for now. Once I get my PyGame legs under me I'll probably start coding some casual games, since that's what I like.
