Making panel blend in better

I changed my panel to a Grayish color with code I found 1f40 in another thread. Now my question is, how do I change the color of the task selector end pieces? I circled them in the screen shot. Thanks!

thats something i'd also like to know, one option though is to use another theme engine, i'm using murrine and they blend in properly

Yes, they can be themed (I believe they are called 'grippies' by the way), but not directly changed by the user. BUT, try not only different themes, but different transparencies too. On some themes, they will all but disappear just by lowering the transparency a tiny bit.

edit: I see you are using Beryl or Compiz. When I say adjust the transparency a tiny bit, I mean the pseudo transparency, from the right-click properties of the panel.

Their color and look comes from the GTK theme you are using, so experiment with different themes to get a result you like.

Murrine has a very nice look for them that makes them blend very nicely to the rest of the panel.
