Different languages for different users

Hi,
I am a pretty new to Ubuntu but have sorted out my system apart from one small problem:

As I share my computer with someone whos first language is not english, I would like to have separate users using separate default languages. I haven't be 1f40 en able to find a way to do this yet. Is this possible?

I'm not sure, but I think you can select the language used at the gdm login screen. Just click the "Options" button in the corner and there should be something about language preferences there. Then when you login with the user, I believe it will affect the settings for only that user.

Hi,

Excellent!! That worked perfectly thanks. From its location I would have assumed that it would have been a per-session setting but no, it changes the language just for the user that you then login as.
