Hi, I just set up LTSP on my home network. Now whenever I
1f40
start a new session, sitting at the server, GNOME locks up and gives me this error message:
Quote:
There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon.
Some things, such as themes, sounds, or background settings may not work correctly.
The last error message was:
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
GNOME will still try to restart the Settings Daemon next time you log in.

I can't get GNOME to run smoothly. I've rebooted a few times, but it keeps locking up, and is almost unusable. The thin client is working fine, I'm posting from there now.
Does anyone know why GNOME is locking up? I have two ethernet cards in my server, if that makes a difference.
