Rumor Gears Designer Going Survival Horror Multi platform

Quote:
Now that Gears of War 2 is in the can and maybe even in your hot little hands, what's next for Epic Games and designer Cliff Bleszinski (nee Dude Huge)? Would you believe survival horror? That's the word from EGM's "Quartermann" who writes in the mag's monthly rumor column that Bleszinski's next will be a "mix the bloody visceral elements of Gears of War with psychological terror."

That's the extent of the details Q-man is willing to give, only noting that the title is "multi-platform" which we'll interpret to mean Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and (maybe) PC, not Nitnendo DS and PSP. We'll hold tight for the EGM cover story on the matter or hope that Cliff just spills the beans in the comments.

Wow, that would be awesome to see. I hope Cliffy does take his games multi-plat.

Survival horror using Gears visuals would work very well. Could be very interesting indeed.

Cool, although gears if supposed to be a trilogy. So finish gears of war 3 before anything else!

Well they could do. Or they could save Gears 3 as a launch title for the next Xbox. I'd be all for a break between installments. I'd really like a few more new IP's.

I think they should complete the gears trilogy on the xbox 360.

Come now friend, what has not liking a controller got to do with creating a game (multiplatform) on that said controller's console? Not everyone like PS3 controllers.

Mass Effect is supposed to be a trilogy as well, and we got no word on ME2 while BioWare is making Dragon Age!!!!!!!

but a Gear-esque Survival Horror game sounds intriguing...

I thought they stated that they have at least started work on ME2. We just shouldn't expect any real news till late 2009.
