Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the game yet? From watching previous versions of the game, i would imagine that 09 the show would probably be out sometime in March, possibly even late February, but i still cant seem to find any information on the game. If anyone knows anything about the game, could you throw some links up? It would be very much appreciated!

I know the SCEA San Diego Community Manager who manages that title and there is no information on it yet.

I wont be getting 09. 08 was just about perfect, it is the only game i still play that i bought last year...wont pay full price for an incremental improvement.

Same here XSI unless they add some things that I couldn't live without but 08 is just one of the best baseball games I have played.

Well, online was always hurting on "The Show". For 07 and 08. Let's see what they do. But honestly, you guys are right. I would be happy with one more great version with all bugs (there really aren't any) fixed and pay a small fee for roster updates. What do you guys think? Like 10 bucks a year for a season of roster updates instead of $60 for a new game that's essentially the same?

i love baseball, and the show 08 was the best game since all star 2000 in my opinion, didnt really care much for mvp 2004 that a lot of people do, but i just think the games will never be perfect because baseball is so complicated, but im sure we could all live with that...but i agree the show 09 will be an unnecessary purchase im sure

This is the best baseball game available, so i was wondering why doesnt it sell so well? compared to the others? Im from the UK and i really dont know much about baseball but i loved this game last year and bought knowing absolutley knowthing about the sport!

Well as long as new sports games are to be released people like me will buy them. Youre all right, 08 was absoloutley the BEST baseball game out to date. I'm an assistant store manager at a Gamestop and anytime someone comes in looking for a decent baseball game i always reccommend THE SHOW to them, and if they dont have a PS3 than the 2K games are pretty much the next in line. I absoloutley fell in love with Sony's baseball games since they released MLB 2001 way back when. Still play it sometimes with my brother. We limit ourselves to throwing only fastballs, and whoever hits 50 home runs first wins. we usually only make it to the 4th or 5th inning. We played a game together once with him pitching and me hitting where the score was something rediculous like... 84-2 or something.

I'll probably get '09, I almost got 08, the inclusion of Trophies has me sold for the best baseball game in the market. Did '08 have Custom soundtracks and voice chat?

I think i did have voice chat, and it did have custom sound tracks, but they didnt play during the actual games, just during the menus and what not. which id love it if you could add your own custom walk up music and stuff like that.

Yes you could use a mic during the game. I really loved it myself, finished a complete 162 gm season just yesterday and won the WS on HOF. Online was ok but laggy at times. I hope they improve the online for next year.

Looks good the 08 version but i have to wait till 09

It's hard to imagine 09 being any more better than 08. MLB 08 The Show is the best sports game i've ever played, and that's saying a lot coming from me as i love the Nba 2k series first and foremost. I'll definitely pick up 09 though in hopes that it offers something new, if nothing else updated rosters are always a big + for me

I absolutely loved 08 and will be gettin 09 the day it releases like many of you I still play it even with all the new great games that I have bought
