Hey, i've been looking around for project management software that I can run on my server. I don't want to use web apps like Basecamp. I love Jumptree (jumptree.com), but it only runs on Microsoft's platforms (.NET and SQL). I would love something similar to Jumptree that operates on PHP/MySQL, but any Linux native technology is okay.

Have you taken a look at SugarCRM? It's free and actually pretty powerful.

I ended up writing my own... I guess I'm just too picky.

Thanks for the suggestion, i'll check it out. Any other suggestions from other would be appreciated. I would also like to write my own, but I don't have that much coding experience yet.

Trac is awesome, but it runs on Python, which for me anyway runs a little slow
