Filetype not allowed. File firebird_schema.sql wont be save

I tried to post in installation support forums, but I couldnt post there ...

A friend of me, downloaded the phpbb software, but when was uploading hes files he getted this error:

Filetype not allowed. File firebird_schema.sql won't be saved.

It seems hes unable to upload the extension .sql, what can he do to complete hes installation ??

The file(s) are located in /install/schemas/

Cant you use another extension ? with a little bit of change-work in another install file ?

We tried to paste the content of the .sql files in SQL in phpmyadmin, but we get this:

#1115 - Unknown character set: 'NONE'

and another problem, it does not allow .cfg either

If CFG can't be used, the skins can't be used, I had to find a new host because HostUltra didn't allow me to have those file types, as with T35.

Contact your host and tell them to allow SQL files, this is not a phpBB problem.

hmm, he said it was free host, they p^robably won't do it for one guy whos not paying, if you know what i mean.

Cant you use another extension ? with a little bit of change-work in another install file ?
