I was wondering when the final build of the 96.43.09 driver will be ready. Will this driver cure the problems where if you are running desktop effects it will fix the problems with kde programs.

For Wine:
Create a txt (settings.txt) file in your home folder containing this:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X11 Driver]
"ClientSideWithRender"="N"
In a terminal window type:
regedit settings.txt
(additionally for OpenOffice remove hidden folder .qt in your home folder)
For other programs:
Edit xorg.conf (in folder /etc/X11).
In section "Device" add line:
Option "RenderAccel" "0"
That's all! We can turn on graphics effects and all programs have fonts!
