I'm liking the ranks. Hm, if this does get implemented I hope there are Terran ranks too.

In any case, will there be signature images?
 

that's excellent however i think the ranks should not be starcraft based rather something more distinguishable
 

It's a Starcraft forum... I'm pretty sure everyone who goes there will know the ranks...
 

I like it! Now just to make the header graphics more like header graphics rather than a huge block of protoss image.

My problem with the new forum is the appearance, I find it unpleasant to read the text there, the main problem being the gray text. If this example is what the intended future appearance is then I will no longer have any objection to moving and will do so soon.
 

I like it very much. It provides good formal and functional structure. I say it's a keeper.

Other ranks - Hmmm, we are a Protoss-biased site, but I think that can be arranged. Or we might just go with custom titles.

I love it.

Needs titles based on tech tree and posts, and the choice to choose which race's tech tree. For example:

0-100: Probe/SCV/Drone
101-200: Zealot/Marine/Zergling
201-500: Stalker/Maurauder/Baneling
501-1000: Nullifier/Reaper/Roach
etc.

And then that way, staff members can have non-unit titles like Executor.

I second this. Shouldn't require too much to implement. I've seen multiple mods like this in various forums.
 

While it would be easy to move this theme over to SCL, it would be rather pointless as seeing SCL needs it's own theme.

There's also talk about retheming BF anyway, so no reason to use a theme that will be retired at some point :P
 

Yeah, I didn't mean just lift the theme completely, but use the layout (since that part of it seems to work) with different frame graphics. I was thinking that might save the code guys some work rather than having to start from scratch. But like I say, I don't know a lot about what is necessary to make a new theme.
 

I just want a noticeable border separation between replies. The current thing drives me nuts.

Hey, do you think it would be possible to take the original post in a thread and display it in a special locked position at the top of each page in that thread? It would need to stay separated from the other posts, but I think it could be elemental in helping people not to forget the original subject and discussion. Heck, if this could be done even on the first page -- putting the OP as post "#0" -- the replies would make a bit more sense, having them start from #1 and so on.

I should so teach myself some web design stuff. I took an HTML class a long time ago, but I know that ain't gonna cut it in these times.
 

I can differentiate posts perfectly fine... but I suppose that's just me.
