Jordan was one of the greatest of all time and benefited from playing at a time when the talent level of the NBA was very low, but it had become the premier sporting league in America due to the greatness of the 80s (there's a reason Jordan didn't win his first title until 1991. None of the 90s Bulls teams would have been able to beat the 85 Lakers or 86 Celtics). Russell was better than him at winning championships/team leadership, Wilt was a more impressive individual performer who had the misfortune of playing at the same time as the 60s Celtics. Lebron will end up being one as well.

Jordan had Pippen and Rodman. Lebron has what, Mo Williams and Zydrunas Ilgauskus? If Lebron wins the title this year he'll have won a championship with a significantly worse team around him than Jordan ever did, in an NBA with a higher level of talent.

I have to go with Ben here on a talent perspective but who knows how Jordan would have fared with the new training techniques and equipment in the NBA. You can't really compare people who play a decade apart from one another because too many things change.
