Well I'm not sure if they're on the mobo or on the fans...anyways, I have these LEDs that continually shine, even when the computer is in standby mode. How do I turn them off when the computer is in standby?
 

Put a piece of electrical tape over them
 

I was hoping for a more technical solution.
 

I assume your case is see-through. In that case, if the LED's are not for "Aesthetic" it may be very hard to shut them off as they were most likely designed for diagonistic/status/etc...

Well all I can say is look in your motherboard manual, browse through your motherboard (usually hitting DEL at boot up when the BIOS screen shows up)
 

Build a stencil for the LED, place it over the LED and spray-paint it black? This would look professional and also solve your problem.
 

Can you post some photos of the actual LEDs?

If they're on the fans, chances are there is a separate power cable for the LED that you can unplug from the MoBo. This is the case with many such aesthetic LEDs. Are you comfortable with tinkering on the inside of your PC?
 

I'm sure they're on the fans.

Considering I built the computer, yes, yes I am.
 

What kind of fans then, if what you've heard isn't sufficient to help?

Have you managed to figure a way of dimming the lights? If you built the computer and know what components you have, but you're not sure where the overly-bright LEDs are located, yet you are sure they're on the fans, try posting some photos so we can help you better. No offense, but without pictures, you're not making this very easy to diagnose.
 

OK, so I finally looked inside the computer instead of making half-assed guesses and found that only one LED remains lit when the computer is in standby. I'm just going to put some electrical tape over it.
