no they are all pretty good....
the thing I like is that if they support Dxix then burning .avi files to a dvd will play lots of movies on one disk...

Help With DiVX players
I have a Philips DVP 5990. It's a great little machine. There's even a mod to improve the menu selection. I run DivX off a 16 GB flash drive. Supports WMV. They can be had for about $50 or so. The remote is very thoughtful with the major DivX keys well separated. There's even a firmware mod to make the experience better, especially with external subtitles. I've had no problems reading any type of DivX or Xvid codecs.
Another great thing might be a WD TV HD Media Player for about $99. This thing will take 2 USB anythings. Supports a lot of formats, including DivX.
Philips has a sound bar HTS 8100 which has essentially the DVP 5990 built into a sound bar for about $199. Also with USB flash.
Or, for down and dirty try a Brando HM-181 for $69!
My nephew has a Toshiba that does better with Xvid codecs than with some DivX.
