Buzzing sound on AC97
I'm getting a buzz sound intermittently in my system when I play sound - either in internet radio or dvd disc play. I thought it was only in radio earlier and dismissed it as a recording awareness buzz - but then when I played a disc it also occurred.
My system is a Compaq sr1750nx , Win XP home sp3, Hitachi 1 TB sata hddrv, 4 GB ram, integreated AC97 audio. External Altec Lansing powered spkrs.
Any thoughts on why this occurs, what to do?
