Now to turn old PC into DVR

OK, I built the Windows 7 system shown here in the forum. Now, I want to build a DVR to capture OTA HD programming. (I have Standard Definition satellite, don't want to pay to upgrade. And I get a lot of free HD OTA channels via antenna on my HDTV. I have SD DVR in the satellite box... but it sucks compared to what I get live OTA.) I'd like to also record HD programs over-the-air. I think I can use my old PC to build a DVR for next to nothing, if I get a TV Tuner card and a DVI to HDMI adapter to go from my video card to the TV. Am I right? Here's the old computer:

2.2-GHz AMD Athlon 64 3400
1GB 400-MHz DDR SDRAM
BFG NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS OC 512MB AGP
160 GB internal HD
160 GB external HD (USB)
NEC 2510 CD/DVD drive
Windows XP

I don't have any sort of special software for this. Thanks in advance if any advice.

FWIW: I use an old ATi All in Wonder 9600 TV tuner card in an AMD 1.2ghz computer to record my CCTV. The card came with ATi software for recording tv. It saves the files as .wmv's and has options for video quality based on available disk space. My 9600 is an old card too... I'm sure you could expect much more from one of todays TV cards.
