Question XBOX 360 > PC sound. ( PCMech Forums Video, Audio and Multimedia )

XBOX 360 > PC sound.

Hey guys, I'm hoping one of you can help a noobie out.

Basically what's going on is that I purchased the XBOX 360 VGA cables so that I can hook my 360 up to my monitor. That part is fine.

The problem that I'm having is with audio. The Red and White component cables come with an adapter that has the female components, and converts it into a 3.5 jack. I plugged that into the back of my PC speakers, and the sound comes out, but it's REALLY loud. I'm just trying to figure out how to turn down the volume.

I think the problem lies in that the little dongle that controls my volume normally has two wires: From source, and To Woofer. So if I take out the audio input that goes into the woofer to connect my 360, I have no control over the volume. Is this just a problem with my speakers?

Thanks for your time!
