Im trying to build a website with the Flash 5 program, and my plan is to have my photo as the back ground with all of the links and all that covering my photo, (Follow me?). Now, everytime I think I have my measurements right, and I goto publish preview HTML it doesn't look the way I designed it to be. So this is what I need help with. What would be the correct measures for a web page, and how do I use a photo as the background or stage of the page. Please help me, I got to get the new site up in a matter of months!

OK!,
For a nice DVD look, I found that the best movie size should be 700 x 400. Size your photo accordingly to fit somewhere within these dimensions. Allow for your interface which also must fit these dimensions. Your photo may streched to 700 x 250 to allow for other items in your menu.... But it looks really cool !
Anything that is outside this rectangle will be cut off by the final movie. Your monitor should be set at 800x600 or better resolution. You should first build some sort of nice looking box where your picture will fit into AS WELL AS a nice looking interface skeleton.
LOCK this layer afterwards.
(1) INSERT a new symbol ( mypicture.jpj).
(2) Import your picture into your library.
(3) Press F6 to insert a Blank Key Frame
(4) Drag from the Library your picture into a new layer.
You may want to fade the picture somewhat in the background.
(5) Do your typing on another layer.
The key here is Layers !... Good Luck !
