ATI build

Hi everybody! Ok, needing a little help here. I've been out of the ATI arena for a long time, last card I had was a 9800 Pro AGP a LONG time ago. I've used Nvidia basically since the 6600GT.

So, I recently bought some parts to upgrade our "main" system that we use for important stuff like paying bills, email, etc. Here's what I bought for it -

MSI 785GT-E63 Motherboard
AMD Athlon II X3 440 Rana 3.0GHz

and didn't really need the graphics card but I got this anyway -

XFX HD-567X-ZNF3 Radeon HD 5670 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0

I also am going to use Windows 7 and I have extra DDR2 RAM laying around, that's why I went with these parts, considering what the system is mainly used for I didn't need anything fancy.
I also got a couple 500 gig WD Caviar Blacks.

So, I've never used a board with onboard integrated graphics before, so my question is when I set this system up, should I leave the video card out and load everything up first?? Or, can I go ahead and put the video card in and then load drivers, OS, etc.??

Thanks, and I'll appreciate any help, hints, or other suggestions!!

ATI build

leave out the 5670, the onboard graphics on that mobo are more than enough for what you are doing.

Thanks for the quick reply! I pretty much figured that, but I forgot to mention I might also load up some FPS's as well, older ones like Medal of Honor series and the older Call of Duty's maybe COD 4 and MW2 as well. The kids are more into their consoles these days, so these may not be loaded back up, but then again in between paying bills or something I may get bored and want to shoot something up myself!! That's why I went ahead and got the card, sorry I forgot to mention that before.

@OP, either way is fine. The ATi drivers can even use the IGP and the GPU at the same time, depending on the motherboard, though not for Hybrid Crossfire.

ok if there will be some fps use then the 5670 is a perfect card for that. Yes its fine to install the gpu then run the driver install. The standard pnp drivers will detect just fine to get through the install process.
