Rumoured to be out in October with much the same specs at the HTC Incredible, is anyone else keeping an eye on this?

I'm just updating my Hero but since I have problems with Orange which can't be resolved without moving houe and changing job, I'm on the lookout for at least a new provider, and possibly a new phone.

My brother just got the Samsung Galaxy S which was really nice, but in the last 3 years my dad brother and wife have all had problems with Samsung phones which is kind of warding me off. Then there is the Desire which is nice also, but if the HD is coming in 2 months I think i'll wait to see whats occurin'.

Yeah I am. It's been rumored for a winter release, yet there hasn't been official confirmation from HTC. Since I'm on a simplicity contract with my Desire, I'll be selling it to get the newer device when it comes out!

Here's to hoping they come up with a better battery and a slightly sexier design, since that's probably the only two downfalls of the Desire currently.

I've heard that this is an HTC Evo re-jigged for Europe. Either to be called the HD or Ace.

Well the wife has said she'll happily use my Hero until her contract expires (her samsung is pants) so i'll be getting a new phone afterall. just want October to hurry up now

Contract is up end of the month might hang on before opting for a Galaxy S or Desire now and get one of these.

Well yeah I think it is but you'd think they'd update the actuall phone too, well you'd hope they would.

This will be my next phone... can't wait to see some specs/pics!

Hopefully by then it would run Android 3 (Gingerbread) and have HDMI out to complete the whole package!

If its due out in October, you would have seen firm images by now. So either its not coming out or its just the EVO reslicked for Europe

Yeah that's true. Spy shots of Vision/Desire Z, which is due out about the same time, have been available for a month or so now.

the vision/desire z offer anything over the desire?

I'm looking forward to October time when contract ends and the recent rumour mills with HTC desire HD and few others. I can't wait anything must be better than LG Viewty these days .

Personally, I like it without the hard keys on the front. Though, I wouldn't mind if they did something similar to what they did with the HD2

All those buttons succeed in doing is making it look like a Nokia. The normal Desire is far better looking.
