Star Wars Bluray release 2011
*ker-CHING!*
Just in time for the 35th anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope
All six films - Special Editions only as according to George the original trilogy would cost too much to restore into high enough quality.
Balls - he's already done it once to use as the master for the Special Editions...I can pretty much guarantee that he didn't destroy those digital masters.
Anyway... Have a deleted scene from Jedi that will be on the Bluray *hopefully all the known and several unknown deleted scenes will be on there so we can finally see Bigg's introduction amongst other things*

Cool, yeah I'm pretty sure he's not re-releasing the original cut because mostly everyone would buy them over the special edition versions. I don't think he could take the humiliation of realizing that remastering and adding needless scenes to already perfect films was totally pointless.
Anyways I will buy the original trilogy on blu-ray as these are some of my favorite films.

Lukas really does make me laugh (and cry) with what he has done to Star Wars over the last 10 years and how he has strayed from the original vision in the interest of money and marketing, it's pathetic.
The true HD versions of the original (and prequel) trilogy can all be found on the net... I have them and they are fantastic, as close to BR quality as you can ask for.

I'll buy 'em as long as there's a CGI Yoda & Jar Jar Binks meets an untimely demise in EpI.
