They spent more time farting around though than showing us cars.

There were only a handful of eps in the current series. This is the second of two 'best of' shows.

They make 6 programs a series now?? What happened to the days of 12-18 program TV series

Running out of wacky ideas/challenges, I guess.

And money no doubt with the big squeeze on at the bbc.

We've never had 18 programme series here as a rule, it's always been 6-10 top.

Would they get a yearly budget? So could spend more in the winter when viewing will be higher?

They showed 2010 highlights today. Got to watch Cruise nearly flip the car. I do wonder if he got the top time just because of who he is but unless all the footage was fake I cant doubt his commitment round those corners so major kudos grudgingly given there

Tyres on the Toyota Hilux looked like 10 psi. I really wouldnt mind one of those if I had some sand dunes or something to take it on

OK is it just me or have they stopped updating bbc iplayer for them? I haven't seen a new one up for ever. Or are they finished?

I almost missed this series as well. Only manage to catch the last 2 episodes and then it was finished!

It is 12 episode. Isn't it two seasons a year. Sure we had another series earlier in the year. With one of the big road trips in.

Well, it is. We have 2 series or anywhere from 6 to 10 episodes per year. The previous series was last year.

Ordinarily, there's one series in early summer (May/June), one series in autumn (Oct/Nov).

Though wiki reckons Series 16 will be in early 2011, which is odd.
